While in the Sault, Mr. Landa visited St. Mary's College and St. Basil Secondary highschools speaking to students in several classes.

There was also a public event held at Buchheit Hall [St. Jerome Church] in the evening of February 28.

Pedro Landa spoke to the Social Justice group at St. Mary’s College.

He talked about the unethical practices of some mining companies in Honduras.

• Companies often pollute the environment 
•  use enormous amounts of water that endanger the lives of local people
•  “Mercury, arsenic and lead showed up in people’s blood-streams"
• Canadian Companies need to be held accountable
• Mining Companies need to follow ethical practices everywhere
